Configuring WinXP for use with DHCP

Step 1: From "Start" click "Control Panel"

Step 2: From catagory view select "Network and Internet Connections"

Step 3: click "Network Connections"

Step 4: Right click "Local Area Network" and select "Properties"

Step 5: Scroll down to and select "Internet Protocol/(TCP/IP)" then click "Properties"

Step 6: Under the "General" tab select "Obtain an IP address automaticly"
and "obtain DNS server address automaticly"

Step 7: Under the "Alternate Configuration" tab select "Automatic private IP address"
click "OK" then "Close" to save your changes.
