- How
can I add another computer to my local network?
If you plan to connect your new computer
via an ethernet cable simply plug into the
next free port in your router and ensure that
DHCP is selected within your TCP/IP settings.
If you plan to add a computer to your encrypted
wireless lan you will need to make an addition
to your wireless router's configuration. (creating
a new encryption key)

- I
can send mail but not receive/I can receive
mail but not send.
This problem in most often either because
of a misconfiguration with the incoming and
outgoing mail servers or due to a software
firewall rule which is blocking the outbound
traffic over the SMTP port 25, or the incomming
traffic over the POP3 port 110, to solve this
possible problem either update the rules in
your software firewall or disable it prior
to trying to send and receive e-mail.

I
have read that 802.11b networks are not secure
how does your network protect my WAN traffic.
Our main wireless product uses a proprietary
protocol scheme which is not based on the
standard 802.11b. This Device uses a mix of
proprietary polling and authentication techniques
that minimizes the risk of reading the wireless
traffic over-the-air. Their is no off-the-shelf
devices that can be used to sniff the packets
while in the air like you can find on 802.11
wireless equipment. The receiving end must
be another wireless device that has been authorized
to receive the spread spectrum signal in order
to descramble the signal and understand the
modulation. four major security features include:
- Proprietary data scrambling of RF data
packets
- Authentication of Subscribers
- Adaptive Polling protocol
- Spread Spectrum modulation within the
5.8 Ghz spectrum.
